The Stock Reservation section is used to reserve items from your inventory. It is useful in situations where stocks needs to be set aside - such as when your physical store also serves as an online sales channel, or when certain quantities must be kept on hand for specific purposes.
Accessing Stock Reservations
- Open your Dashboard
- Navigate to Inventory > Stocks Reservations
Add New Stock Reservations
To add a new stock reservation, click on the '+' button
The following fields are required to create a reservation
Stock Reservation Types
Stock reservations supports two types of stock reservations
Stock Reservation Type - Location
| Field | Required | Usage |
| Location | Yes | The location where the stock reservation will be performed |
| Comment | Optional | Additional notes or instructions for this reservation |
| Item | Yes | The item being reserved |
| Reserved Quantity | Yes | The quantity to reserve for the item |
Stock Reservation Type - Sale Channels
| Field | Required | Usage |
| Sale Channels | Yes | The sales channels where the stock reservation will be applied |
| Date Start | Optional | The start date for this stock reservation |
| Date End | Optional | The end date for this stock reservation. Once this date is reached, the reservation will be removed and the reserved stock will be released. |
| Comment | Optional | Additional notes or instructions for this reservation |
| Item | Yes | The item being reserved |
| Reserved Quantity | Yes | The quantity to reserve for the item |
Delete of Stock Reservation
To remove stock reservation from the system:
- Select the stock reservation(s) to delete
- Click on More Actions
- Select Delete Selected
- Confirm the deletion when prompted
Note:
Deleting a stock reservation record will release the reserved items back into your inventory. This released quantity will once again be available for sale.
In the example above, Stock Reservation #1 will be deleted
Export of Stock Reservations
To export stock reservations to an Excel file:
- Select the stock reservation(s) to export
- Click on More Actions
- Select Export Selected
An Excel file containing all selected stock reservations will be generated.
Import of Stock Reservations
The import feature allows you to quickly add or update stock reservations:
- Prepare an Excel file containing the required stock reservation data
- Click on More Actions
- Select Import File
- Upload your Excel file
The system will automatically create new stock reservations or update existing ones based on the provided information.
Notes:
- The import feature allows adding or updating one reservation at a time.
- Leave the
Item Reservation IDfield blank to create a new reservation.- Providing a
Item Reservation IDwill update the existing reservation with that ID- Always review and verify the Excel file before importing to ensure all data are accurate, complete, and correctly formatted to prevent errors during import.
