User groups allow you to control what users can see and do within the dashboard by assigning permissions at a group level.
Accessing User Groups
- Open your Dashboard
- Navigate to Settings > Users > User Group
Add New User Group
To create a new user group:
Click the '+' button
Enter a group name
Configure the required permissions
General
| Field | Required | Usage |
| Name | Yes | Name of the user group |
| Channel Group | Optional | Restrict this user group to the list of channels in the selected channel group. |
| IP Address Restrictions | Optional | Enter the public IP addresses allowed to login. Use a semi-colon to separate each IP address. E.g. 192.168.1.1;192.168.1.2 |
Permissions
| Field | Required | Usage |
| Access Permissions | Yes | Allows user to view pages |
| Delete Permissions | Yes | Allows users to delete records |
| Modify Permissions | Yes | Allows users to edit and save changes |
| Special Permissions | Yes | Allows access to specific advanced actions |
Tip:
- To restrict an action, simply unselect the relevant permissions
- For example, unselect Delete Permissions to prevent users from deleting records
Delete User Group
To delete a user group:
- Select the group(s) you want to remove
- Click Delete Selected
Important:
Users assigned to a deleted group will lose access to the system
In the example above, the user group Demo will be removed.
