Description
Auto Translate works with Google Cloud Translation and Microsoft Azure AI Translator to translate your OpenCart data. Manually translate one field or bulk transfer all data on your system with this extension.
*Note: You will need to sign up with Microsoft to use their translation API. Microsoft has a free tier that supports up to 2 million characters translation per month! Credit card is required to subscribe to Microsoft Azure (your card wouldn’t be charged unless you use more than the free limit). Otherwise, if you prefer to use Google, Google Cloud requires a subscription as well.

Installation
OpenCart Cloud
- Purchase the extension from your administration panel.
- Proceed to
Extensions >> Extensionsand selectModules. Then, installAuto Translate. Configure extension accordingly. - You can now mass translate or translate individual fields on your store.

OpenCart 2, 3 & 4
- Go to
Admin >> Extensions >> Installerto upload the extension zip file. - Proceed to
Extensions >> Extensionsand selectModules. Then, installAuto Translate. Configure extension accordingly. - You can now mass translate or translate individual fields on your store.

Sign up with Microsoft Azure
If you do not have a Microsoft Azure account, sign up at http://azure.com/. If you do, login at http://portal.azure.com/.

Creating a New Application
a. After logging in, you should see the dashboard. Click 'Create a resource' in the menu.
b. Search for ‘Cognitive Services’ and select it.
c. Click "Create" for the "Translator" service to proceed with creating the application.
d. If you do not have a subscription, you will need to sign up for an Azure subscription. Select ‘free trial’ if it’s available to you. Proceed to fill in your personal particulars and card details for Microsoft to activate your subscription.e. Once done with the subscription, continue with creating the application. Select the subscription, resource group and a region that is nearest to you. Fill in a name and select the available pricing tier.
f. Skip the Network, Identity, Tags tabs and proceed to "Review + create". Click on the "Create" button. -
Getting Your Key
Once the application has been created and deployment is complete, click "Go to resource" to enter the application console. Then, select ‘Keys and Endpoint’ from the menu to retrieve your key. Copy Key 1 to the Auto Translate extension in your OpenCart store to begin. Select the same region you have set this resource to run on in the OpenCart store as well.
Google Cloud Setup
- Sign up with Google Cloud or login at https://cloud.google.com/.
- Search for "Translate" at the search bar and select "Cloud Translation API". Enable API service.
- Select the "Credentials" tab, select "Create Credentials" > "API Key".
- Copy the newly created API key to the Auto Translate module.
